Interview With Vendela Zane by Cary Fetish Super Genius Vendela Zane is a Pro Domme, holds multiple advanced degrees, runs a BDSM Bed and Breakfast and more! You can't help but admire her! How did you become interested in fetish/BDSM? I was lucky enough to meet some older scene folks at the age of 16. I was always interested in the look of punk rock and alternative dress, so this was the next step to Me. Like....'what do you do when you dress like this?'
And how did you transition from an interest to it being a profession? I started doing professional domination at 19...it was more of an idea for fun work while I was in college for extra money...then....it evolved into a passion. I broke out of My shell and really evolved into My feminine side. I studied everything I could get My hands on involving Female Dominance. I really learned about Me, the essence of being a Woman, and being an Alpha Female.
What can someone seeing you as a Pro Domme for the first time expect? Absolute control. I don't mess around. I am in control of the mind and body.
You also have a PHD in a related field, what led you to go that route?
am a Doctor of Sexual Psychology and provide kink friendly counseling. I also hold 2 Master's degrees in fine art (printmaking) and psychology with a minor in physical fitness. I am always interested in learning. We never stop learning. I also wanted to reveal this type of lifestyle in a positive manner and be there for those who may need positive direction and/or advice without being looked down upon as being 'weird 'or deviant.
What gave you the idea to open a BDSM oriented bed and breakfast? I always had the dream! I adore the idea of hosting a private getaway for like minded folks. I am also the Hostess with the Mostess. I love to entertain, and provide an exceptional mind, body, and palate experience.
You're also a Chef, how did you master the culinary arts? Entertaining and cooking runs in My family, so when I resided in Florida, I pursued a culinary internship at Walt Disney World Resorts. I worked with a Master Chef, and truly learned about the combination of passion and food....and how what I do professionally as a Dominatrix flows into a wonderful combination.
How do you find the time and energy to pursue all these different ventures? LOL! This is a great question that get asked it often. I am also a single parent of a very energetic 5 year old! I volunteer at his school 2 times a week, plus all of My other ventures. I also home cook all meals! :) I get My energy from My lust for life and the satisfaction of making other's lives Fabulous! :) (and 2 full time slave boys do help.... :) ) Mistress can't do it alone!
Do you enjoy fetishism/BDSM play in your personal life, and if so what are you into? I live the lifestyle 24/7. I am an alpha female. I am in charge and My word is law. I own one full time slave and My man is passive to Me. I love to play. I am a disciplinarian, so corporal is a main interest. I am also exceptional at interrogations, mind fucks, and psychological torture.
Do you think fetish is becoming part of the mainstream culture? I hope not. I think the look and clothing is becoming mainstream...but I like being deviant!
What kind of music do you like? All kinds really.....My main focus would be goth/industrial, Southern rock, and then it can even go to opera and Mozart.
What do you like to do for fun? I like to read, write (I'm working on a cookbook and memoirs) cooking, and conjuring up new torture techniques.
