Interview With Velocity Girl

by Cary

Velocity Girl: precise, intangible and overall contradictory.

How did you become interested in fetish/BDSM?

Haha, I actually was tied up and tied other people up before I even had sex, and I blame that entirely on my employment at the age of 14 at the local Rocky Horror Picture Show. ENTIRELY.

Do you enjoy fetishism/BDSM play in your personal life, and if so what are you into?

Been lifestyle on and off, though I tend to bring out the kink even in the most vanilla lovers I've had. bondage is awesome, and asphyxia will always be a favorite. I'm also slowly developing a huge thing for latex, but who doesn't love latex?

Are there any fetishes that you don't find appealing?

Appealing, certainly, understandable, no. Fetish isn't supposed to make sense and I don't think it really matters what other people find appealing, so to each their own.

What excites you about fetish modeling?

I actually just had my first shoot in latex clothing, and I'm not sure I would classify much of my work as fetish yet. It's something I'm working on getting into more though, as I really like a lot of the styles and concepts involved.

What are your favorite types of outfits to model in?

Latex is groovy, I'm pretty big on corsets as well as anything ornamental.

What are your least favorites?

I'm honestly getting sick of lingerie. (maybe I don't have enough?)

Do you think pinup and fetish are becoming part of the mainstream culture?

I think they've always been a "part" of culture in general, though I really couldn't tell you due to the fact that I live in a bubble with no cable. Seriously though, though these things may be publicly demonized the fact remains that large amounts of people have had these tendencies and ideas for centuries, and even if an thought is never spoken it will indeed influence the action. Humanity's fascination with torture and generally killing people, as messed up as it may be, is probably part of the manifestation of those suppressed ideas.

What kind of music do you like?

Everything, but lately lots of indie, hip hop and folk. I'm also really down with crust, most varieties of electronic (drum n' bass especially), classic rock, experimental, alternative, punk, industrial, metal, ska, down tempo... basically you name it I probably like 1 or 2 artists in the genre.

What do you like to do for fun?

Sleep, cook, paint, read. Going out is okay if there's intoxication involved but honestly socialization doesn't really excite me much these days. Live music is always good though, as are art openings and such.
