Interview With Sharon TK

Sharon TK is just plain gorgeous and able to switch effortlessly between vintage pinup and modern fetish styles.

What do you think about pinup becoming part of the mainstream culture?

It seems like everything comes back in fashion at some point. I think people are more and more obsessed with glamor lately and pinup really makes you look and feel that way. The clothing of that era were really meant to fit every curve in a womans body. I think girls today want to show off those curves but in a more tasteful, glamorous way by not letting it all hang out. It really makes you feel sexy!

How were you first exposed to pinup?

I had always been intrigued by the fashion part of it. I do think my look is very versatile and apparently a good photographer saw the pinup side of me before I even did . My first pinup shoot was based on old style playing cards with pictures of scantily clad chics in cutesy pin up poses for the premiere issue of Inked magazine. After that shoot it seemed that more than one photographer thought I had a good look for pinup too!

How did you become interested in fetish/BDSM?

I suppose I just hang out in that crowd. A good number of my friends are in the scene. I love latex, how it feels and looks on the body. I love how it instantly makes you feel more powerful and sexy. I love being photographed in latex or fetish wear. You always look sexy!

Do you enjoy fetishism/BDSM play in your personal life, and if so what are you into?

There has always been a side of me that has had an interest in this. Do I completely live the lifestyle, no, but I like to dabble.

Are there any other creative mediums you work in?

I'm pretty big into being photographed in abandonments. I like the challenge of finding them and then finding a way to get in them. I find that these locations are so beautiful, broken down, falling apart. They make for such a beautiful picture. I find putting something that looks pretty against something that the eye would typically see as not pretty becomes the most beautiful and artistic image!

What are your favorite types of outfits to model in?

As I said before, I love latex, that certainly is my fav. Neck corsets/restraints are also a fav of mine. I love to be corseted, I long to build a collection of amazing corsets! Girdles are another one of my favs. I find them to be so beautiful the way they shape a womans body!

What kind of music do you like?

I don't ever turn on the radio. If it's a new band, I most likely don't know it. I listen to new wave 80's, and industrial. Once in awhile there might be some electro pop bands that I hear at clubs that I might like but that doesn't happen often. I absolutely can't stand hip hop, country, or R&B, kill me!

What do you like to do for fun?

I don't know if you would call this for fun but I rescue and foster dogs for a rescue group called Rawhide Rescue. You can find our dogs at rawhiderescue.com. That keeps me pretty busy. I also love to go dancing, go on tropical vacations, the beach,finding new delicious vegan restaurants, and shopping of course!
