Interview With Samara

by Cary

Samara is a very hot and multi talented Model, Journalist and Musician from the UK.

How did you become interested in fetish/BDSM?

When I was 16 in the 90s, so a while ago. It came from my interest in Goth. The Goth scene has always flirted with the Fetish / BDSM and so did I. At first it was really only about the aesthetics, I loved the smell of rubber and wearing it. I then went to proper Fetish clubs, thinking this could be a great ‘therapy’ to get rid of people’s inhibitions. I got on stage for a couple of performances and did a couple of softcore dominatrix sessions and ended being so at ease being dominant and punishing. It is a good catharsis and totally recommended if you have a stressful life and need to release the pressure.

Do you enjoy fetishism/BDSM play in your personal life, and if so what are you into?

Oh yes, I m very opened to trying new things with my partner.

Are there any fetishes that you don't find appealing?

NO scat , no urine , no blood . Not my thing.

What excites you about fetish modeling?

Wearing a new outfit and the result . The collaboration with the photographer. That is true for every shoot that I do. Most are simply alternative modeling.

What are your favorite types of outfits to model in?

Alternative, rubber, corsets, high heel boots, stilettos, the usual.

What are your least favorites?

Anything that doesn’t fit. When you have to wear an XS for 4 hours! That was a nightmare.

Do you think pinup and fetish are becoming part of the mainstream culture?

Pin up is definitely becoming mainstream since Marilyn Manson exposed Dita to mainstream culture. Fetish is not quite there yet. The image of the Pinup is harmless and an icon that give the average person their sexual food for the day, just like for the reader of the Sun who buys it for Page 3. Fetish is more dangerous and is in my opinion for those who either live life more dangerously, or those who have come to understand their sexuality or at least have to come to want to explore it.

I don’t think Fetish will ever become mainstreams its thirst is for what's forbidden or secret. If it becomes mainstream, it loses its identity, its repression and therefore the desire to unleash and release it. However BDSM is mainstream in a way in the sense that most adults experience a bit of it in their sexual life ( that’s a city girl’s point of view anyway) but we will not see BDSM on daytime TV anytime soon.

What kind of music do you like?

Rock, Industrial, Metal, Punk, Psychobilly

What do you like to do for fun?

Sing ,play music, relax, rollerblade , go out and dance.

I make music and I’ve been involved in a few bands. I m currently trying to get my own project off the ground. I wish there were more hours in a day!
