Interview With Sally Debauchery

by Cary

We've always been in favor of debauchery in general, now we can also endorse Sally Debauchery in particular. She plays Bass in the band Psykill and Models.

What music first captured your ear and got you interested in music?

The first CD that really stole my heart, was Guns N' Roses - Appetite for Destruction. I had never heard anything like it at the time (then again, I was only 10, LOL), and I have never been the same since.

What attracted you to the bass in particular?

I actually started off as a Guitar player. I took it up at age 13, and played off and on over the years. It wasn't until I was 17 that I decided to take up Bass. A friend of mine who was endorsed by Ibanez, gifted me my first Bass, and soon after, I took over the low end duties in my first real band, Cherry Debauchery.

What kinds of people come to see your band play?

One of the things I love most about PsyKill, is it's diversity. The music taps into so many different styles and genres, that it's impossible to limit our fanbase. We appeal to many different styles of people, from Metal, to Industrial, to Goth.

Do you prefer playing live or recording?

I don't have a lot of experience with recording, so I definitely prefer the live element better. With that said though, I did just finish recording Bass for a Team Cybergeist song, which is going to be featured on their upcoming CD - How To Destroy Something Beautiful. There are so many big-name and influential people on this album, and I am so excited to have gotten to be a part of it!

How did you become interested in fetish/BDSM?

Aside from the style and aesthetic appeal, I am actually not all that into it.

Do you enjoy fetishism/BDSM play in your personal life, and if so what are you into?

N/A

Are there any fetishes that you don't find appealing?

Never really understood the whole diaper thing ;)

What are your favorite types of outfits to model in?

Anything along the lines of my personal style (whatever that may be classified as), and I also recently started modeling band merch, which has surprisingly been a lot of fun to do!

What are your least favorites?

I don't do any nude modeling, so I suppose that would be it.

Do you think fetish is becoming part of the mainstream culture?

Slowly but surely, I think it's becoming more and more widely accepted. With the help of efforts such as Repo: The Genetic Opera, it's helping to force people to open their eyes and see that this is indeed a part of our social reality, whether we want to believe it or not.
