Interview With Rev Arielle by Cary Rev Arielle brings a classic look and can do attitude that really comes through in her photos. Classic pinup has become a huge phenomena lately, what about it first captured your interest? I've always said that I have an old soul. Sometimes I feel as if I was born in the wrong time period! I love watching old movies and listening to the old time radio shows, its been that way since I was a kid. Then when I started modeling and everyone kept telling me that I looked like I had come right out of the 1920's, which is funny when you're NOT trying to do a pinup shoot. I've always admired the classic pinup girls. I'd love nothing more than to be painted on the side of an army plane!
What do you think about pinup becoming part of the mainstream culture? I think its pretty fabulous! Not only has it made it easier to find vintage pinup clothing and Bettie Page merchandise, but it makes people take a different view on what makes a woman beautiful. Curves are sexy baby!!!
What is it that excites you about pinup modeling? Everything! Modeling is my life in general, but when you slap on some garters and some devastatingly high pumps... its the greatest feeling in the world. I feel so sexy and fabulous during the shoot. It really makes all the work worth it.
Are there any other creative mediums you work in? Art is such a huge part of my life. I love art and being a living piece of artwork. Right now, though, modeling is MY artistic medium and also the main focus of my life and career. I'd love to venture into other fields such as music and acting, but for now... I'm going to focus on what is most important to me.
What are your favorite types of outfits to model in? I love wearing spike heels, platforms, and boots. Corsets are a favorite of mine too. The tighter the better! I love everything from latex to elegant ball gowns. I enjoy dressing up in costumes as well.
What are your least favorites? Honestly, I hate wearing nipple clamps during fetish shoots. My nipples are one of my most sensitive parts! I also can't stand itchy clothing or things that don't fit right.
What kind of music do you like? Oh goodness, all kinds. I'm a total sucker for Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin but Bing Crosby really makes me shiver! I love alternative cabaret music, techno, electronica, rock, euro-pop, goth, and death metal too!
What do you like to do for fun? I work! I love what I do and I like to keep busy all the time. When I'm not shooting I'm attending conventions, dancing at goth clubs, helping other girls at shoots, shopping, doing radio shows, and I've even tried my hand at pro-bikini wrestling! I try to live life to the fullest!
