Interview With Staci Louise
Adorable Pinup Model Staci Louise
Classic pinup has become a huge phenomena lately, what about it first captured your interest?
I've always loved retro fashion and the classic pinups like Marilyn Monroe and Bettie Page. I've done different kinds of modeling but being a pinup was, and still is, my biggest dream. It fits my personality, my look, and it's a niche full of amazing people. When I dress pinup I feel like I'm floating, it's a huge confidence boost!
What do you think about pinup becoming part of the mainstream culture?
Pinup is so huge right now because it's ultimate femininity, and it's something that's widely admired by men AND women. It's the throwback to the TEASE, the wink and the smile, never trashy. Pinup style is forever sexy and glamorous.
What is it that excites you about pinup modeling?
The fact that I can be any woman I want to be, which is the reason I got into fashion, the reason I got into burlesque. I can be the sweetheart on the beach, I can be a bad girl, I can be the housewife burning the roast! It's so much fun being a pinup girl!
Are there any other creative mediums you work in?
I started during burlesque in 2009(my stage name is 'Bear Bottoms'!), it's the ultimate culmination of all my interests; I get to create outfits, dance to any music I want, and show off! It's my art, and I get to be a living canvas, burlesque is an amazing thing!
What are your favorite types of outfits to model in?
Anything pink and sparkly, I can't help it!
What are your least favorites?
Boring, ill-fitting, tacky. It's really difficult for me for me to model when I KNOW I don't look good.
What kind of music do you like?
My favorite bands are Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode, and I listen to a lot of electro dance, new wave, indie and classic rock.
What do you like to do for fun?
I love going out with my boyfriend, checking out new things, traveling, and I love crafting! I make hair flowers, jewelry, and clothing. Glue Gun Master!
