How did you become interested in fetish/BDSM?
I have been interested in spanking for as long as I can remember. I was one of those kids that got a little thrill from looking up the word ‘spank’ in the dictionary or stumbling upon a chance reference to discipline on TV. But it wasn’t until I typed ‘spanking’ into Google one day that I realized there were so many others out there that shared the interest with me. It was an overwhelming relief to know I wasn’t alone.
Do you enjoy fetishism/BDSM play in your personal life, and if so what are you into?
Yes. Once I’d discovered thee were others out there that shared the interest in spanking with me, I almost immediately began looking to meet up with others to play with online and in real life. I certainly embraced the lifestyle long before even considering trying to model.
Now that I’m married, most of my non-shoot related play is limited to spankings from my husband. We do not have a strict DD (domestic discipline) relationship, but he will quite often give me hard but playful swats and mock-discipline. It’s totally exhilarating without having to be “bad” all the time!
Are there any fetishes that you don't find appealing?
To each their own and I’d never judge anyone for their interests. However, personally anything involving blood or poop is a smidge over the line. I am squeamish.
What excites you about fetish modeling?
At first it was most exciting to have the opportunity to dress up and play different characters and live out little fantasies I’ve always had in relation to spanking. While that is still a major draw, what matters more and brings me more excitement is connecting to so many like minded people through my blog. It’s truly become an amazing way to form a sense of community and heart warming understanding through what may have once been such an isolating, taboo subject.
What are your favorite types of outfits to model in?
I adore any sort of very feminine skirt or dress. Plaid skirts are particularly high on my list due to my schoolgirl fetish which goes hand-in-hand with my spanking fetish!!
I’d love to one day try modeling in a true corset. I have a naturally narrow waist and I think an exaggerated hourglass laced in ribbon would be really something.
What are your least favorites?
Anything totally frumpy or anything that leaves little to the imagination. I guess I enjoy things that may push the boundaries a little but are not to the total extreme.
Do you think pinup & fetish are becoming part of mainstream culture?
I think the concept is certainly more commonplace. And based on all of the blog and discussion board posts on mentions of the fetish culture in mainstream media, I’d say it’s definitely more acceptable. However, I’m not sure if the mindset and appeal if fully understood by all and it’s not a subject I’d choose to broach with vanilla friends and family over Thanksgiving dinner. :)
What kind of music do you like?
Judging from my iPod, I enjoy a pretty eclectic mix. I love music from the 50s and early 60s to fast beat current top 40 hits that get me pumping at the gym. But I’d have to say my favorite artist of all is Tori Amos; particularly her early work.
What do you do for fun?
I’m very much an outdoorsy girl. I love gardening, hiking, mountain biking, geocaching, rock climbing, and kayaking. I also have my artsy side and enjoy photography, drawing, piano, sewing, plus I can bake a mean apple pie complete with decorative crust from scratch. Animal rescue is also a passion of mine and I’m very involved with supporting local and regional organizations. I think I’m pretty well rounded!
