Interview With ThaGataNegrra--Tha ORIGINAL GATA by Cary "You could say that I'm an actress, alternative plush-size model, recording artist, dancer, and writer. Gore Goddyss; Punk Rhyma. LOL" How did you become interested in fetish/BDSM? I know it started when I was a Gatita of about sixteen. My first love and I were VERY experimental...bondage, spanking, roleplay fantasies--which kind of came out of him being a drama student at school. I was always dressing up for him, LOL! Of course, we didn't know there was a name for it then. We just knew it was hella exciting.
Do you enjoy fetishism/BDSM play in your personal life, and if so what are you into? Let's just say I'm never bored w/ my current love, and he's DEFINITELY not bored when it comes to me, LOL....
Are there any fetishes that you don't find appealing? Anything involving things that belong in a toilet. Guh-ross.
What excites you about fetish modeling? Oh, the clothes... I've always loved PVC and fetish boots and corsets and bustiers...not to mention the kick-ass accessories. I mean c'mon-- how are you not gonna look at the girl with the riding crop and stiletto plats when she steps into the room? I know I would. The clothes just feel good, and if worn well, lend a regal air. They allow one to feel indulgent and free. And when the camera's involved, you truly are free and sensual....a Goddess.
Classic pinup has become a huge phenomena lately, what about it first captured your interest? I always thought pinups were beautiful. Bettie Page always took the best pictures. Russ Meyer flix always looked like living pinups to me. The look was always tasteful. I never thought there was anything wrong with showcasing the female form in a classy manner. I always wanted to take beautiful pictures, and think a plus-size woman is as beautiful as a straight-sized woman...so I just started taking pictures. I used to be a dancer as well, so taking pictures was a part of the package.
What is it that excites you about pinup modeling? Feeling beautiful when you get that gorgeous shot...or two. Especially if you have great chemistry with your photographer...they can make a model feel like she's Venus in front of the camera. Who wouldn't love that?
What are your favorite types of outfits to model in? Corsets, high boots, and anything that lets me express myself. I particularly love posing in fangs, gore, and fantasy costumes-- that's where all the fun is.
Do you think pinup and fetish are becoming part of the mainstream culture? I think a lot more people are getting turned on to it as a result of exposure. I don't think it will become fully integrated into the so-called mainstream due to people not fully accepting that which they don't understand.
What kind of music do you like? I'm a rock chick since birth-- I admit it. But I like nearly everything but country. I can't imagine living w/o music.
What do you like to do for fun? I love movies--watching and making them, going clubbing with my boyfriend, hitting the comic, anime and horror cons, dancing (hip-hop and bellydance), making synthetic hair falls, doing my music, making goofy lipsynch videos, WWE live events, and making sure I get to as many concerts as I can!
