Interview With Mistress Shea

Mistress Shea is a Pro Domme and quickly becoming a fixture at NYC Fetish Parties.

How did you become interested in fetish/BDSM?

I have always been interested in the scene. Its funny, before I moved to New York, I thought it wasn't real, just something you see in movies or some kind of fantasy, I didn't know that there were professional dominatrices who do it for money. My finance, Toon, actually recommended that I get into it. He thought I would be good at it and when I tried it, it was so natural. Its amazing how fast I have gotten used to it and how fast I have become recognizable in the vamp culture.

And how did you transition from an interest to it being a profession?

Originally it was only something I shared intimately with boyfriends. When I moved here to New York I was introduced to this whole new world. Its interesting actually, I did a session with a pro-domme at a hotel, she was bringing in different girls every couple hours. I really didn't even have to do anything. It was more like babysitting. I was there for about 3 hours, and when I left she handed me anywhere between $500-$600 and I was immediately hooked. It was the easiest thing I have ever done. Now that I am actually doing it, most the time its not that easy. A lot of the clients that I see at the dungeon make me work for it. And the pay here isn't as good at a dungeon, as if you are independent. I have been building up some clients of my own. I am hoping to be an independent within the next few months, definitely by next year. I have met a lot of great people doing the parties and here at the dungeon. I learn more everyday. I recently became friends with Lady Zombie, she has given me a lot of insight to the scene. She just hooked me up with a site called buymysocks.com. I am going to be doing a shoot next week and then I will be one of their girls on the site. So, check keep an eye out for me there. ;) Everyday it seems new and great opportunities arrive. I would have never expected to move up this fast. I personally like to take things slow but there are so many things I just can't pass up.

What can someone seeing you as a Pro Domme for the first time expect?

It all depends on where they are seeing me. At the dungeon, most of the clients have been seeing Chloe, the head mistress, for many years. Sometimes we do get new clients, but most of them know the routine. Most clients who go through me have found me somewhere online. Whether it be fetlife.com, collarme.com, or MisstressShea.femdommesociety.com, most of them contact me from other states. A lot of them don't end up following through but the ones that do, are great. I have had a couple that want to see me at the dungeon, those it really simple I do a consultation before the session and then it is usually and hour sometimes more depending on the client. But most people want to do an outcall with me. This is always more complicated, because there is so much that goes into it. I have a lot of rules but basic for an out call would be. They have to spend a minimum of three days for a first time visit, they are in chastity the entire time, (My subs are not allowed any sexual contact of any kind, no matter how I see them), I require that my finance, Toon, comes along (this is for safety reasons), they have to have their own hotel and all that, they are not allowed to know where I live. I also get a lot of people come up to me at the parties, this is a place where I make a lot of contacts. Suit Abyss is strictly for building clients, I no longer work there however, I do play at every party. I love to put on a show. Things are always really relaxed with me. Even though I have a lot of very strict rules, I am extremely easy to get along with. There is always some kind of consultation with new clients. I personally like to get most of it out of the way before a meeting, but there is always a quick conversation.

What kinds of people book sessions with you?

I get all kinds of people who want to see me, most of them are lawyers, stock brokers, the CEO types. At the dungeon, it is mostly foot worship and sensual play sessions rarely ever to get to brutalize someone at the dungeon, which is a shame cuz thats my favorite. The guys who want more time and want me to own them or see them regularly are usually more fetishists, these are the guys who will take just about anything. They are more interested in being owned and controlled, they need a woman to make decisions for them. The need someone to pamper and spoil. I say need because for them it is a need, just as much as they need food and water they need to be owned, and they need to have someone run their life for them. To do an outfall with me is expensive, because there is a lot of work on my end that goes into training, so you do have to have money. However, when I domme at the parties its more of a fun thing so it is pretty cheap. That and I can't spend a lot of time with each client at the parties. Right now, I am only working for Paradise Lost so that is the only party I charge for. But I always accept tips, donations, sponsors, ect. I pretty much only do Corporal type stuff at the parties, so most of the people I see for Paradise Lost are more pain sluts than anything else.

What are your specialties?

I love edge play, corporal punishment, OTK spankings, caning, flogging, paddling, croping, things like that. But am very good at foot and leg worship, humiliation, sissification, training, bondage, cupping and light electricity, wax play, and some very light fire play, which I don't get to do very often.

What kinds of equipment do you use?

I personally have 4 different floggers, a riding crop, bondage rope, a few shackles and collars. I have been working on getting more equipment, and am still new so I don't have the equipment that I wish I had.

However the dungeon is fully equipped with lots of floggers, canes, crops, paddles, bondage rope, nipple clamps, hoods and blindfolds, some medical equipment, cupping equipment, and a violet wand. The list goes on and on.

Do you enjoy fetishism/BDSM play in your personal life, and if so what are you into?

Toon and I definitely play on our own, not as often as we like, but its mostly and "In the bedroom thing." He is a total pain slut so there is a lot that goes on there. However its funny, people who don't know him often see me flogging him and confuse him for a sub, this is not the case at all, he is very dominant. He is the only one I switch with and he will be the first to tell you that, that rarely ever happens, as well as I am the only one he switches with. Thats the perk of being in a relationship. Its interesting we are far more sensual when we are together, though.

How did you get involved with the Suite Abbyss & Paradise Lost parties?

I had gone to a few parties, and was doing some go-go dancing with another event host, which didn't end up working out, so I decided to contact someone to see if I could go-go dance for the vamp parties which were way more my scene. I go-go danced for a few parties and now I am dungeon doming for Paradise Lost. I eventually would like to get to a point where I can do this for more parties.

Do you think fetish is becoming part of the mainstream culture?

I hope so, I think it does wonders for a relationship. I totally promote relationship play. I always feel kinda sorry for my clients who can't share this side of them with their wives. I know I will probably loose business, but I would much rather see a happy couple who can be honest with each other about what they are into than, see this accidentally get revealed and ruin a relationship only because honesty wasn't there. I believe the number one rule when it comes to all fetishes, is honesty, otherwise it just doesn't work.

What kind of music do you like?

I am a total metal head. I have been listening to grindcore and heavy metal for as long as I can remember. When I lived back home I was going to metal shows almost every night. Because of the parties, I have kind of gotten into some of the heavier industrial stuff, but I will forever be a metal head. People always tease me about it too, especially back home, because there, no hot girls listen to metal, so they never believe me, and then they find out that I really do like it.
