Interview With London Shadows

London Shadows has a very cool name and is a fetish model and DJ in Washington DC.

How did you become interested in fetish/BDSM?

Started going to a Local Washington DC Fetish Night Called Bound DC (bounddc.or) in 1997 where I met my boyfriend Larry Bradby who Is also my photographer. (LarryBradby.com and Fetishdollz.com) Then I started hanging out with the djs, assisting resident doms with scenes. In 2000 of continually going to this event I was published as a model on the bound 2000 club flyer and started dj for bound dc on a regular basis.

Do you enjoy fetishism/BDSM play in your personal life, and if so what are you into?

I am a self sufficient fetishist as well as Dom in training. I enjoy just tying up my own corsets and doing everyday activities and djing with the corset on extremely tight. This is why I love being a fetish model and a dj.

I have occasionally been tied up. Can't learn what the submissives experience if you don't experience it yourself.

Are there any fetishes that you don't find appealing?

Anything that has to do with fecies and urine. Just can't bare it.

What excites you about fetish modeling?

Wearing skin tight latex and leather corsets and over posing in them. It's not easy when you are wearing a corset with leather and stile coil boning. But when modeling corsets you have to show the curves that the corset doesn't show. I also love showing what else you can do with those corset strings besides tightening up the corset.

I also love having my pictures leaving you guessing what the next image will entail. Kind of like capturing a story in my images.

What are your favorite types of outfits to model in?

Corsets, latex and vinyl. Super shiny and super tight enough to show lots of cleavage. I love showing off all of my designer's products for shoots whenever possible. These designers include: Pink Label Corsets at Pinklabelcorsets.com, Dementia Clothing at DementiaClothing.com and Slyx Latex Fashions at Slyxlatexfashions.com. Oh and of course the crazy platformed, mega high heeled boots. And then of course the accessories to wear with them. Gas Masks, Respirators and Goggles. Leave a bit more to the imagination.

What are your least favorites?

Modeling girdles then being tied up in rope. Not fun at all.

Do you think pinup and fetish are becoming part of the mainstream culture?

Its about time. I absolutely think so. Pinups have been around for a pretty long time and its time that it did come back with new models, to the mainstream. And considering that musically A lot of Musicians thru the years have worn it, I'm glad people are finally catching on.

What kind of music do you like?

Everything that I've been spinning in the Dj both for almost 11 years: EBM, Synthpop, 80's, Tech 80's, Jazz, BigBand and Swing Music. I abhor music that entails degration to any human and curse words.

What do you like to do for fun?

Have a fabulous Frappe and hang out with all my friends in the fetish fashion world and djing world. And every day i enjoy petting and taking care of my 3 fuzzy babies..bast, morganna and lithium kitten.
