Interview With Lex Eleven

by Cary

Turning it up to 11 with Lex Eleven!

How did you become interested in fetish/BDSM?

Difficult to say, I think it grew out of a love of dress-up and costumes. I remember trying to a nurse outfit and suddenly feeling very sexy, quite empowered. I liked the way that I could don an outfit and take on a persona, almost become someone else. I was quite curious after discovering this side to myself and started to do my own research into the fetish scene, and the rest is history...

Do you enjoy fetishism/BDSM play in your personal life, and if so what are you into?

A lady doesn't reveal too much! I enjoy power-play, the taking on of roles and the giving and taking of control between partners. Personally I tend towards the submissive and I like different forms of bondage and restriction such as shibari, cuffs and collars and general bit on man-handling! I could go on but I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

Are there any fetishes that you don't find appealing?

Personally I'm not interested in scat or water sports and don't enjoy humiliation play. But that's a personal preference, I don't judge others who enjoy them.

What excites you about fetish modeling?

Getting paid to do something I enjoy! It doesn't feel like work at all! I love meeting new people who are involved in the fetish scene, I feel like I can learn so much from them and we seem to connect almost instantly through shared experiences and points of view. I can't deny I enjoy the attention too, and the opportunity to get dressed up. I have far too many outfits that usually only get worn to photo shoots.

What are your favorite types of outfits to model in?

Definitely latex, I love how smooth and shiny it is. I'll often spend a lot of time just stroking my arms and legs, feeling how lovely they feel! Catsuits are great fun, as are uniforms. I also really love medically inspired items, nurse-outfits, red-crosses, hospital-wear, all that kind of thing.

What are your least favorites?

I'm not a big fan of ball-gags, and I know many models feel the same! Especially if they don't seem to have been washed enough from their last use. They make me dribble all over myself, make my jaw ache and just aren't flattering! But photographers seem to love them.

Do you think pinup and fetish are becoming part of the mainstream culture?

I think fetish has always been a part of fashion, items such as high-heels and lingerie are fetish objects without there needing to be a whip in there too. Anything that inspires devotion and obsession is in a sense fetishised. I don't know that the bdsm/fetish scene will ever become entirely mainstream, it is after all an alternative sexuality. But fetish fashion is always flitting in and out of view, corsets, heels, latex and leather are often seen on celebrities. Pin-up and burlesque are becoming more and more well-known with clubs starting all round the country and stars like Dita Von Teese bringing it to people's attention. If anything I think pin-up and fetish have become a bit more acceptable, they've lost some of their seediness. In alternative crowds an interest in fetish and bdsm isn't seen as all that strange or unusual, so I think a lot more people are becoming open about their various kinks, embracing their inner perverts.

What kind of music do you like?

Another difficult question! I like a lot of different music, a lot of which could be broadly described as 'alternative'. I enjoy a lot of early 90s grunge and riot grrl, 80s gothic and synths, industrial rock and filthy electro, synth-pop, melodic metal and prog...I'm starting to bore myself with all these genres! Basically I like a lot of imaginative guitar music and dark electro that I can dance to, and everything in between!

What do you like to do for fun?

I like to hang out with friends, drinking wine and watching films (how very civilized). I do go to rock/fetish clubs and gigs quite a bit but also enjoy drinking tea, pub quizzes, dancing, baking, internet shopping (perhaps a little too much) and general mooching. I see modeling more as a hobby than a full-time profession, I do it because I enjoy it and wouldn't do it if I didn't find it fun. It does take up a lot of my free time though!
