What inspired you to pick up a camera?

I've always been interested in the model/photography world and always wanted to be a part of it. I'm a quick learner and love gadgets, so getting used to a camera came naturally. I've been told I have an "eye" for photography which encouraged me to get better at it.

What particular challenges do you face with erotic photography as opposed to other genres?

Well I was always too young when I started out. And to stop problems with things such as exposure to a minor (even though it was me taking the photos), I had to limit myself greatly by only doing your usual fully clothed PVC type shoots. Now that I am 18, I am looking forward to my first proper provocative shoot in April, but I wont let too many details loose just yet!

Do you prefer to shoot with film or digital?

Digital! I really hate doing film. You get the old photographers who love film and call it "proper photography" but I'm a 21st century girl with 21st century ideas. I'm not one who likes to risk their work, especially when mishaps happen with light exposure to the negatives!!!

How did you become interested in fetish?

Models such as Ulorin Vex and photographers such as Lithium Picnic, even though they are popular, they are still incredibly inspiring! There will probably be people reading this thinking "Yea she only said them because they are well known". There IS a reason why they are well known.... because they are fantastic!!!

Do you enjoy fetishism/BDSM play in your personal life, and if so what are you into?

Now that would be telling!!!

Do you think pinup and fetish are becoming part of the mainstream culture?

I do in ways, but don't in others. As much as it annoys me that alternative fashion is no longer alternative as everyone is having a piece of that cake, I still think that only the experienced alternative model can pull it off effectively and just give the "Wow factor". Pin up is a very old and classic look, I'm kind of sick of seeing these Amy Winehouse lookalikes thinking they can pull it off when it is more embarrassing to look at than anything.

Are there any other creative mediums you work in?

I used to be a musician. I was a classically trained violinist from the age of 8 up until the age of 17, but I had a very pushy music teacher who drove all the love I had for it out of me. It saddens me to think that after all these years someone like him destroyed my love for it, but maybe one day I will take it up again!

What kind of music do you like?

I'm actually very into classical music and have been from a young age. Favorites being Beethoven and Schubert. I'm also into sounds like Combichrist, Deathstars, Disturbed and old school Marilyn Manson. And then to things like Kanye West and Britney Spears! If I like a sound I like the sound. I don't restrict my listening pleasure because I have to portray a certain image, I do what I like and like what I do!!!

What do you like to do for fun?

I'm a keen gamer. I actually got some abuse for being a girl gamer from a community I was in on Live Journal, because I liked Metal Gear Solid and Call of Duty. I have a huge collection of Metal Gear Solid merchandise from sound tracks, to every game brought out on the Playstation, to the graphic novels, to the t shirts and game guides. And I showed my collection to a community and they accused me of being a fake and only liking it to get in with the guys! Because I'm not into Sonic and Mario CLEARLY makes me some kind of fake (although spending over £300 on merchandise makes me a very devoted fraud! Not to mention I was first into the game when I was 8 BEFORE I was even interested in boys!). So gaming is kind of like my secret pleasure!
