Interview With Angel Of Death

Fetish Model Angel Of Death

How did you become interested in fetish/BDSM?

Quite by accident! I never realized that so many of the things that I was interested in (weapons work, dressing up in costumes, role-playing…outside or inside the bedroom etc.) were all a part of the Fetish genre. Since I don’t generally allow labels to dictate what I do and do not have as a part of my life, I began to study Fetish rather than shy away from it. I learned that I, like many, was very misinformed as to the nature of this culture. Almost every person alive has fantasies, thus fetishes. So Fetishists are not freaks, but people comfortable enough and enlightened enough to recognize their own desires and what makes them “tick”.

Are there any fetishes that you don't find appealing?

Of course! Anything with forced or non-consensual participation is unacceptable to me.

What excites you about fetish modeling?

On an intellectual level, it allows me to make a point. I can use my work to teach people about fetishes that they might never have considered…or considered taboo. I can also show people outside the Gothic and Fetish communities that Fetish is not confined to being a frightening woman in epic heels and leathers wielding a riding crop (fun though that is!). That’s one aspect, to be sure, but Fetish goes beyond the stereotypes and so many people need to recognize that. On an aesthetic level, I can dress up in and get away with so many eccentric and beautiful things as a fetish model that I couldn’t get away with were I to be a “normal” model.

What are your favorite types of outfits to model in?

I’m a fan of big high heels, eccentric clothing and wild makeup. Also trying to make my corset collection grow. As long as I’m comfortable, I’ll have a blast!

I love being creative with props even more than outfits. Since I’m a trained swordswoman, I frequently bring weapons to shoots (at the request of the photographers!) and will do all kinds of fun poses with the weapons and sometimes even with the other models and the weapons! I’m also a belly dancer, and veils look beautiful on camera.

What are your least favorites?

Lingerie. Spare me the mundane…and the Victoria’s Secret ladies do it well enough, thank you!

What kind of music do you like?

Heavy metal makes my world a better place. If I can bang my head to it, I’m a happy lady. I will always love classical music for its complexity and beauty. I also love Industrial/Goth/EBM and whatever else you can throw in that genre…because stomping around a club makes me happy too!

What do you like to do for fun?

I fight, work out, sing and READ. Yes, I read books…a pastime that is rapidly becoming lost.

And just as a side note, I really want to put in a shameless plug to the wonderful photographers featured with this interview:
